We attended the Wasa Future Festival in Vaasa and took part in the Space Wednesday – From Orbit to Opportunity: The Economic Impact of Space on Finland and the Nordics session.
The afternoon focused on the growing space economy and its opportunities for Finland and the Nordic countries. The programme included presentations on the national SpaceEconomy project, the development of its roadmap, Nordic space cooperation, and the results of the AuroraSpace project.
We also heard about the role of the space economy in internationalisation and joined a panel discussion on space business, bringing together perspectives from research, industry and the wider space ecosystem.
The session offered an interesting overview of how activities in space were connected to economic growth, innovation and new business opportunities in Finland and across the Nordics.
